Gabrielle GriffinGabrielle Griffin formed Company CHAOS, an integrated dance theatre company based in Lismore NSW in 1997 with Kat Worth. The company produced three full length works which toured to Adelaide’s High Beam Festival in 1998. She was the company’s Assistant Director, performer and community dance class facilitator until 2005. From 2006-07, Gabrielle was a co-Director of a Multi-Arts Performance project for adults with disabilities funded by Regional Arts NSW with NORPA’s Emma Newman. She was also Assistant Director of award-winning queer and disabled community art project, The Cracked Pot with sold-out performances at Adelaide’s Town Hall in 2007. A Pilates instructor and a touring puppeteer, creating adult themed shows, Gabrielle was nominated for the Fringe 2009 Best Puppetry Award with her most recent solo show. Since May 2008 she has been engaged as a workshop leader with Restless Central and considers it the greatest privilege to encourage and explore improvised movement with newly emerging dancers.
