Jesse Rochow

Jesse grew up on a farm in Willunga, South Australia surrounded by vineyards and almond orchards. Going to a school that valued the arts he learned to paint, sculpt and knit before he was literate. In year 12 he studied dance as a project and was introduced to modern, contemporary and Latin dance, which he found challenging but rewarding and challenging.

During his time at Flinders University studying for a double degree in Arts and Education, Jesse developed a serious mental illness. After his time in hospital and having deferred from University, Jesse was invited by Kyra Kympton to join the Youth Ensemble. He found the friendly, non judgmental attitude at Restless exciting. ‘There are no limitations in style or abilities, impromptu moments of creativity are very welcome.’

Jesse made his performing debut in the Debut 2 collection of works appearing in Power Rangers directed by Andrew Pandos and Time Travel directed by Lorcan Hopper. In 2010 Jesse performed in the Youth Ensemble production Next of Kin and in 2011 will join the Education Team for the Second Story Project and Restless Central and perform in Take Me There for the Come Out Festival. Jesse is also attending the Dot to Dot project.
