Caroline HardyCaroline is a singer and dancer who developed her passion for music and dance from an early age, singing in school choirs along with regular trips to the theatre for opera, ballet and music. In her final years at school Caroline joined the Tutti Ensemble as a chorister and her first major performance with this ensemble was in Co-Opera’s Die Fledermaus. After completing her schooling she joined Tutti Arts and has performed with the group in Hobart, Sydney and country Victoria and at SA’s Bundaleer Festival. She has also participated with the Oska Bright team from the UK in film-making workshops. In 2009 she performed in the cantata The Shouting Fence at the Adelaide Fringe in a collaboration with the State Opera of SA and a similar collaboration in 2011 saw Caroline perform in a quartet in an adaptation of The Magic Flute. She is a member of the emerging all-female quartet Hot Tutti who are making their Adelaide Fringe debut in 2012. Along with her singing, Caroline has participated in a number of Restless workshops including the Ranters Theatre Residency, The Lure and Blur of the Real with director Adriano Cortese and following work in Restless Central, was invited to join the Youth Ensemble for Debut 3 in November 2011 where she performed in High Voltage directed by Lorcan Hopper (mentored by Larissa McGowan). Caroline will join the touring party to Port Moresby for the Australia Week Celebrations 2012 to perform this work with dancers from Restless and the Adelaide College of the Arts and is currently working with the Ensemble on Howling Like a Wolf with director Zoe Barry. |
