Kate SulanKate is the founding Artistic Director of Rawcus. Kate has worked as a director and dramaturge with companies such as Back to Back, The Women’s Circus, Stuck Pigs Squealing, DVA, Malthouse Theatre, The Courthouse Youth Arts Centre, Ignition Theatre Training, Arts Access and the State Theatre Company of South Australia. Kate is the assistant dramaturge in residence at the Malthouse Theatre. In 2002, Kate received an Ian Potter Cultural Trust Award to undertake an exchange with disability theatre companies in Europe. Kate was the recipient of the 2005 Fringe Festival Melbourne International Arts Festival award. In 2008 Kate co-directed the award winning The Heart of Another is a Dark Forest with Ingrid Voorendt for the Melbourne Fringe. In 2009 she travelled to India as part of an Asialink Residency to work at Daparna Academy of Performing Arts. Kate is a board member of the Next Wave Festival. |
