Anna Hickey-Moody

Anna joined Restless in 1996. She worked as a performer on the remounted version of Talking Down and on Sex Juggling (including the Darwin Youth Dance Festival Top End Tour & School Workshop Series), The Flight, Precious (1 & 2 and The Paralympics Arts Festival Sydney), Proximal and Headlong (including the Schools Tour). Anna has also taught a number of community dance programs for the CCD arm of Restless. She was an assistant director for in the blood and Starry Eyed. Anna has designed and delivered an extensive amount movement, dance and theatre workshops for minoritarian communities (Koori youth, refugee youth, low SES youth, people with disabilities) in metropolitan and regional Victoria and South Australia. Anna is now Sydney-based and teaches at the University of Sydney, where she is an Associate in the Department of Performance Studies and a Lecturer in Gender and Cultural Studies. Her writing on the Company’s work has been published in international and national forums.
