Sex Juggling highlighted the gender issues within the company. The process of Sex Juggling was an experiment to discover what would happen if the men and the women of Restless were invited to devise and create within their own gender groups and then recombine to present a full length piece of dance theatre.

Sex Juggling was performed in the Junction Hall in Adelaide in July 25th – August 2nd 1997.

In September/October 1997, Sex Juggling toured to schools in Whyalla, Port Augusta, Roxby Downs and Coober Pedy and to the National Festival of Youth Dance convened by Ausdance in Darwin.
