The Laminex Man was devised in collaboration with the performers. It is a work showing different aspects of masculinity, from the iconic ‘HE man’ and ‘brutishness’ of bullies, to the beautiful soft, qualities of these Restless gentle and not so gentle men.
‘Like their clothes, the dancers try on different ways of being a man, inhabiting these personas and, in the process, they reveal something of themselves.’
Michael Whaites

‘This program, and Restless Dance Company itself, is a prime indication of why Adelaide is Australia’s leader in the culture of the disabled.’
