Julie Moralee – Chief Executive Officer

Julie Moralee’s journey in the arts sector spans a thrilling 30-year adventure in marketing, brand, and business development.

Commencing in the entertainment working with industry giants Universal, Paramount Pictures, and Sony Music, her passion drew her to working in the realm of major events. She went on to work at prestigious arts festivals such as South Australia’s beloved Come Out Festival (Dream Big Children’s Festival), OzAsia Festival, Our Mob Festival, the Adelaide Guitar Festival and Australia’s biggest festival, Adelaide Fringe.

In her tenure at the Adelaide Festival Centre, she orchestrated a comprehensive annual program spanning music, theatre, dance, and exhibitions, making a significant impact on the way the icon presented its work to broad South Australian audiences. Julie’s portfolio boasts an impressive track record of executing over 250 meticulously crafted marketing campaigns, showcasing her adeptness in promoting independent arts companies and overseeing the promotion of large-scale productions and festivals.

In 2019, Julie joined Restless Dance as Marketing and Development Manager, where her expertise and vision quickly became apparent. Her appointment as Chief Executive Officer in 2022 has cemented her as a visionary leader within the arts sector. Julie’s role as CEO is underpinned by an unwavering commitment to the growth and enhancement of the Australian arts sector, a resolute passion for fostering collaboration to facilitate the creation of exceptional art, and a resounding commitment to securing Restless’s enduring success.

Julie also serves as the volunteer Vice President for East End Adelaide Coordination Group, and prior to that President for four years, Julie is dedicated to her community and has been instrumental in contributing to the cohesion and vitality of the East End Adelaide.
