Underneath

Underneath is a 10-minute short film that peels back the complex layers of the human spirit through dance, movement, and shifting perspectives. Inspired by Thom Yorke’s Anima, the film explores the tension between restlessness and stillness, monotony and disruption, connection and isolation.

Set within the transformed Restless space, Underneath employs a minimalist approach—fragmented narratives, floating and unusual camera angles, and symbolic use of props—to evoke the feeling of unravelling identity. The dancers move between shared intimacy and solitary searching, revealing moments of rawness, vulnerability, and transformation.

At its core,Underneathasks: What do we hide? What are we searching for? And what lies beneath the layers we shed? The result is a dynamic, mind-bending meditation on identity, truth, and the endless journey of becoming.
