REWARDS FOR THE TRIBE to Premiere on SBS

We are thrilled to announce that REWARDS FOR THE TRIBE will screen on SBS on Friday 5 December at 2pm, bringing this acclaimed documentary to homes across Australia for the very first time.

After premiering at the Adelaide Film Festival and screening at the Melbourne International Film Festival, Sydney Film Festival, and The Other Film Festival, the documentary now begins an exciting new chapter with its national television debut.

REWARDS FOR THE TRIBE is a bold and visually striking film that celebrates the remarkable collaboration between Restless Dance Theatre and Chunky Move. Through the work and voices of professional dancers from two of Australia’s most celebrated contemporary dance companies, the film invites audiences to reconsider their ideas about artistry, humanity, and what it means to pursue perfection.

The documentary is directed by Rhys Graham and produced by Film Camp’s Philippa Campey and Molly O’Connor, whose sensitive and insightful approach captures the creative spirit at the heart of the work.
