Downpour is a bold and innovative burlesque cabaret production celebrating diversity, inclusivity, and artistic expression. Following its sold-out debut in 2024, the show was celebrated for its unapologetic authenticity, raw storytelling, captivating performances, and unwavering commitment to building community connections. In 2025 Downpour is expanding by introducing a FREE mentorship program that supports emerging Adelaide performing artists.
The mentorship program is designed to uplift and empower artists, particularly those from disabled, LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent communities, by providing them with act development guidance, performance opportunities, and access to studio space. Each Downpour show in 2025 will feature a mentee who receives direct support from me to develop their craft and confidence on stage.
Bonnie uses our professional studios to rehearse and develop new acts and concepts. Providing emerging artists with mentorships, guidance, and rehearsal opportunities under Bonnie’s supervision. Cultivate a creative community that uplifts disabled, LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent performers, helping them amplify their voices and talents.
