Ptiika Owen-Shaw is an experienced arts and philanthropy professional with more than 15 years’ experience working across fundraising, development strategy, donor stewardship, and major events within Australia’s cultural sector.
Ptiika manages Restless’ philanthropy activities, including partnerships and impact reporting. Working closely with artists, leadership, board members, and funding partners, she strengthens philanthropic support and articulates the social and artistic impact of the company’s work.
Prior to joining Restless Dance Theatre, Ptiika was Philanthropy Manager at Australian Dance Theatre (ADT). During her tenure, she led the organisation’s development program, stewarding donors and sponsorship relationships. She introduced new campaigns and engagement pathways and welcomed many new supporters to the organisation over the years. Her involvement helped expand the company’s philanthropic reach and support for its artistic programs.
Before relocating to Adelaide, Ptiika was a valued member of the philanthropy team at Arts Centre Melbourne, strengthening relationships with major donors and contributing to significant fundraising growth. She has also worked at Philanthropy Squared, supporting the CEO with fundraising consultancy and as the Foundation coordinator for the Betty Amsden Foundation.
Alongside her philanthropy career, Ptiika has maintained an active professional acting career, working extensively in commercials, brand campaigns, film, television, and web series. These experiences have strengthened her storytelling, audience engagement, and communication skills — all of which she brings directly into her philanthropy and impact work.
Ptiika brings a combination of strategic development expertise, hands-on delivery, and lived understanding of the creative industries. Her work is driven by a belief in the power of the arts to create meaningful social impact, and by a commitment to building ethical, human-centred philanthropy that supports artists, audiences, and communities alike.
