CENTRAL is Restless Dance Theatre’s inclusive dance and creative movement program for young people aged 15–26 years, held every second Saturday at Mount Barker Town Hall.
CENTRAL is a welcoming space where young people can explore dance, creativity and movement, build confidence, make connections and have fun.
The Mount Barker CENTRAL class is held fortnightly and runs throughout the school holidays, providing a regular opportunity to dance, create and connect across the year.
Whether your young person already loves to dance or is looking to try something new, CENTRAL provides an inclusive and supportive environment where everyone can participate in their own way.
In CENTRAL, participants explore contemporary dance, develop coordination and physical fitness, and learn dance techniques and improvisation skills.
But CENTRAL is about more than dance. It’s a social, recreational and creative space where friendships are formed, confidence grows and self-expression is celebrated.

You don’t need previous dance experience to join CENTRAL.
Classes are relaxed, creative and welcoming. Participants are encouraged to participate at their own pace and in ways that work for them.
CENTRAL is designed to be adaptable for participants with mild to medium support needs, with tutors supporting each person to find ways of participating that work for them.
If you’re coming to Restless for the first time, our team can help you get settled and understand what to expect.
We recommend comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.

Our public classes are informed by the Restless methodology, our approach to creating inclusive and collaborative spaces where every person can contribute.
CENTRAL is one of several Restless Dance Theatre public classes for young people across Adelaide and South Australia.

Restless Dance Theatre is a non-NDIS provider, however our classes are guided by the NDIS price guide.
CENTRAL may be claimable through NDIS Core Supports – Community, Social and Recreational, depending on your individual plan and circumstances.

CENTRAL Mount Barker runs every second Saturday from 1:00pm–2:00pm at Mount Barker Town Hall.
Unlike many of our other public classes, the Mount Barker CENTRAL class continues throughout the school holidays, making it a regular opportunity to dance, create and connect across the year.
Spaces are available for young people aged 15–26 years.
