A dedicated program committed to supporting Australian artists.
The Restless inResidence initiative is a program crafted to support artists with disability, First Nation artists, LGBTQIA+ artists, and independent artists through complimentary access to the Restless studio space and mentorship. This initiative is not just about providing a room; it’s about opening a realm of possibilities for artists to innovate and refine their craft.
The program includes:
Upon concluding the residency, artists may opt for an informal showcase—be it a performance showing or an interactive Q&A session. This presents an opportunity for the work to be seen by Restless staff, leading industry figures, and Company affiliates.
You can access our inResidence Program by submitting a brief application through our simple online form HERE or by contacting our office directly. Your application should include a short CV alongside a project outline, emphasising the residency’s potential to enhance your work. The Restless inResidence program is open to all Australian artists.
Juggling schedules? Don’t worry. Our inResidence program openings are flexible, with slots available year-round to suit a variety of timelines.

“Thank you for allowing me to utilise the Restless rehearsal space in the lead-up to my East Coast tour of Sheltered. I was able to rehearse for 3 afternoons in the rehearsal space which was a great opportunity to get my show back in my body.
I would like to thank Restless for their support in the lead up to my East Coast tour. I would love to opportunity to work with you again.”
