Emerging Artists Program – Shaping the Future of Dance Theatre

Founded in 2021, the Emerging Artists Program prepares dancers for a potential career pathway in dance theatre, inspiring the next generation of Restless Dancers. The program offers expert training, with a focus on various movement techniques, innovative choreography, and hands-on industry experience, all while allowing dancers to explore their unique creative voices and push the boundaries of inclusive contemporary dance.

Each year, the Emerging Artists undertake four professional projects, collaborating with industry professionals to create new works. These projects offer a unique opportunity to work closely with a choreographer on smaller-scale, creative collaborations that culminate in in-house performances. With creative freedom to explore themes in partnership with the choreographer, these projects foster a collaborative, enriching experience that builds on their training and prepares them for the professional stage.
