Bhodi Hudson

Bhodi Hudson’s artistic journey has been intimately intertwined with Restless, a partnership spanning numerous years that began when he first walked through Restless’ doors at the tender age of 12. Bhodi’s remarkable trajectory within the organisation showcases his profound dedication to the world of performing arts.

After a year of dedication and growth, Bhodi transitioned into Restless’ Central class, marking the commencement of his formal dance training. His inaugural performance with Restless took place in Intimate Space, a production directed by Michelle Ryan, which graced the stage at the 2017 Adelaide Festival. Simultaneously, Bhodi assumed the role of an office assistant, actively contributing to the administrative aspects of Restless alongside the office staff.

In 2018, Bhodi’s talent and dedication shone once again as he took the stage in Creating the Spectacle for the Adelaide Film Festival, solidifying his place within the Restless community. The year 2021 marked another significant chapter in Bhodi’s journey when he rejoined the Company for the award-winning production Ecoute Pour Voir/Listen to See. This collaborative masterpiece brought together talents from across borders, working alongside Canadian companies Danse Carpe Diem/Emmanuel Jouthe, Maï(g)wenn and Orteils, and Résonances, Agence de Spectacles.

The year 2022 saw Bhodi’s involvement in Exposed for the Adelaide Festival Centre, where he dazzled audiences with his performance. In addition to his on-stage prowess, Bhodi lent his expertise as an assistant stage manager for Home, a captivating collaboration with Patch Theatre that garnered a sold-out status.

Bhodi’s influence extends beyond the confines of the stage, as he toured extensively with Restless. In 2020, he graced the stages of WOMADelaide and Flinders Medical Centre with “Ecoute Pour Voir/Listen to See,” captivating audiences with his artistry. The year 2023 promises to be an exciting one, with Bhodi taking the stage in Exposed during the Melbourne FRAME: A biennial of dance festival. His tour with Exposed across Mt Gambier and Renmark, in collaboration with Country Arts South Australia, brings his art to diverse audiences. Furthermore, Bhodi’s performances have graced prestigious venues such as the Sydney Opera House, Theatre Royal Hobart, and the SIDance Festival in Seoul, Korea, either as a performer or an understudy.

2024 Bhodi travelled to Singapore to perform Ecoute Pour Voir | Listen to See and Shifting Perspectives VIVID Sydney.
