Michael Noble

Michael Noble is an accomplished dancer and a valued member of Restless Dance Theatre, a trailblazing contemporary dance company known for pushing boundaries and redefining dance as an art form. Based in Australia, Michael has left an indelible mark on the dance world with his exceptional talent and dedication.After joining Restless dance classes in 2015, Michael was invited to join the Youth Ensemble in 2016. Since then, Michael has performed in the Restless Dance Theatre season of In the Balance for the 2016 Adelaide Cabaret Festival; Swell directed by James Bull and Free and Fearless directed by Chris Dyke as part of Debut 5: the Dancers Direct; Intimate Space, directed Michelle Ryan, at the Hilton Adelaide Hotel as part of the 2017 Adelaide Festival, at the 2019 Seoul Street Arts Festival and at the Hilton Surfers Paradise as part of Bleach* Festival 2018 within the arts and culture program of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. Michael has also performed in the opening segment of the Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony; in Creating the Spectacle, a collaboration with leading UK artist Sue Austin, for the Adelaide Film Festival; Zizanie directed by Meryl Tankard, for the 2019 Adelaide Festival; Seeing Through Darkness at the Art Gallery of South Australia in 20219 and in 2021 performed in the Adelaide Festival season of Guttered and the DreamBig season of Ecoute Pour Voir/Listen To See.

Michael Noble graced the stage in several remarkable productions, captivating audiences with his artistry in Exposed at the Adelaide Festival Centre. Michael’s mesmerising performance was a standout at the Adelaide Festival Centre showcased his ability to connect deeply with his audience through movement. Michael continues to push the boundaries of dance with performances that promise to captivate audiences in Guttered at Sydney Festival.  Michael’s talent takes centre stage at the iconic Sydney Opera House as part of the Exposed performance and then the iconic Theatre Royal Hobart. Exposed at FRAME: A Biennial of Dance Festival Melbourne. His participation in the FRAME festival in Melbourne showcases his commitment to the art of dance.

In addition to his stellar stage performances, Michael’s dedication to his craft has taken him on tour. Exposure Regional Tour: Michael joined the regional tour of Exposed, taking this exceptional production to Mt Gambier and Renmark, enriching the cultural tapestry of these communities. Exposed reached international audiences as Michael and the company took their mesmerising performance to Seoul, South Korea for SIDance Festival 2023.
